So Right now I have to Major projects developing. I've decided to halt work on Chapter 1 of About:Blank in favor of doing Chapter 2 right. 1 is really just a pile of action-y stuff that doesn't really work well if nobody understands who is who and the situation. The Second Chapter really has a lot more characterization to it. My Process for this is as follows.

- I review the original prose I've written line by line
and compile a very rough script of what actually happens.
-From that script I decide where page cuts and even panels end up.
-Now once I have the "Panel Bones" set up (by this time I know how I'd like the page to look) I sketch out the Characters (Each Panel actually takes up about a full page of paper.)
-Ink/Erase/Scan
-From here I have the option to color each panel in photo shop
-place the stock background in place a layer behind the characters if needed.
-Each panel is at this point still a single image file, In Comic Life! I Set up the page and the panel sizes, with that its just a matter of placing the images in their panels
-Add the dialog from the script
-resize anything that might need any tweaking, then once the full page is done I export it and its ready for DA.


Right now I'm also heavily into the Pre-Production stages with Sarah and our Project Flyboy and Kitty.
The Process should hopefully be similar to my About:Blank ethic, but however we get the pilot finished it will see a printed release.

I haven't decided if I want A:B available printed on any of the wonderful indie comic venues I've come across. Its more of a pet project for me, but Flyboy and Kitty is going for an intended print series, we'll see how this all works out.
